The Senior Solution Architect will provide thought leadership and collaborate across all levels of the organization with business and technology stakeholders, driving end-to-end solutions to achieve our strategic business vision. A passionate technology leader who can go deep into process and technology and also be cognitively agile enough to have strategy discussions with leadership. Deliver high quality work and continuously improve the ways we can better leverage processes and roadmaps to manage business application solutions. Drive solution development teams to leverage highly complex and optimal fit for purpose software systems to achieve business objectives. Expertise to address issues with integration and cross-functional compatibility on projects and present findings to senior management. The ideal candidate will combine expertise in IT architecture, manufacturing operations, and Industry 4.0 technologies to deliver scalable solutions to drive innovation and enable automation in the manufacturing and engineering space.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
As a role residing within our Information Services department, our complex application system environment needs an experienced Solutions Architect who will bring high collaboration with IS and Business partners and guide us as we develop innovative solutions leveraging the latest technologies to achieve strategic objectives.
Address complex issues with integration and cross-functional compatibility on projects and present findings to senior management. Lead solution optioning and recommendations around complex solutions. Drive and facilitate the right discussions that identify business solutions in relation to current and future technology landscape.
Lead the effort to produce the enterprise level solution designs for large to complex integration initiatives. Leverage the architect team to define the functional, technical, and application architectures that provides the best solution for business needs.
Lead complex projects/issues that require in-depth knowledge across multiple technical areas and functional business segments, work with delivery team to address architecture, integration and technical issues, and lead the implementation of solutions.
Maintain a high competency in manufacturing, engineering and supply chain industry and technology trends. Research, evaluate and select from existing and emerging technologies the options best fitting business and IT strategic needs. Lead and contribute to technology evaluations and selections.
Develop solution architecture approaches aligned with roadmaps and enterprise platforms.
Lead, build, manage, and enhance solution architectures to drive enablement of strategic roadmaps.
Work closely with enterprise architects and business leaders to develop technology roadmaps and FROM-TO solution architectures.
Advocate and drive adoption of "best practices" and fit for purpose solutions to ensure standardization of solution architecture outputs across the enterprise.
Provide direction, vision and strategy to evolve the environment, and develop the system transformation roadmap for a large and complex Commercial application portfolio.
Provide thought leadership on The Art of the Possible to our business and other technology leaders.
Consult with senior leaders regarding architecture, discuss problems and recommend solutions and improvements.
Senior Responsibility:
Drive and facilitate the right discussions that identify business solutions in relation to current and future technology landscape.
Mentor and develop product/project team members. Contribute to the development our next level of architects and technology talent.
Maintain regular contact with senior management and business unit stakeholders, program/project managers and IT staff.
Maintain external contact with software solution and integration vendors, and participation in user groups.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent experience. (Masters degree preferred.)
10 years of office experience in working with office processes, procedures, and technology with at least 5 years working in a technical leadership capacity. Specific experience around Industry 4.0 and Smart Factory initiatives is preferred.
Proficiency in IoT platforms, industrial automation systems, and cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or similar).
Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies such as MES, ERP, SCADA, etc.
Experience in supporting change management initiatives
Strong written and oral communications skills
Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills to meet deadlines
Execution of enterprise level, mid-to-large sized projects; experience in participating in multi-discipline, high-performance work teams/groups and demonstrated competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems
Expert in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale systems
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, including experience in presenting material to senior management
Demonstrated use of advanced problem-solving skills, system thinking, business skills, solid verbal and written communication skills, excellent relationship building skills, as well as strong leadership and team management skills
Extensive understanding both long-term and short-term 'big-picture' perspectives
Ability to understand the business architecture, processes and strategies
Strategic thinking and leadership with excellent abilities in relationship management
Excellent analytical, planning, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with others and facilitate problem resolution.
Ability to anticipate future IT direction to support Corporate Initiatives.

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements :
