POSITION SUMMARY:
We are currently seeking a Director, Digital Marketing and Experience based out of our corporate headquarters in Montvale, NJ. In this new role, the individual will own end to end digital marketing for our Human Nutrition & Health (HNH) segment -strategy, roadmap, team, and performance to drive brand relevance, customer & consumer engagement, and commercial impact. Acts as the enterprise enabler for digital excellence by governing the marketing technology stack, standards, and best practices across divisions/BUs in partnership with Corporate Communications and IT.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Strategy & Roadmap
Translate HNH strategic objectives and BU priorities into a one HNH digital strategy and 12 to 18-month roadmap with OKRs and resourcing plans.
Define the digital operating model incl. toolkit (MarTech Stack and vendors, service catalog, intake, roles) and governance that balances corporate and division/BU demands.
Own lead lifecycle & revenue ops: define MQL/SQL stages, routing rules, and lifecycle dashboards with HubSpot/Salesforce alignment
Governance & Prioritization
Chair a Digital Steering Committee with senior stakeholders (Divisions/BUs, Corporate Comms, IT) to align the roadmap and resolve challenges and priorities.
Embed cross functional work orchestration backbone from strategy to execution.
Own Web & UX
Own balchem.com/HNH roadmap and performance: information architecture, UX/content quality, accessibility, SEO health, and measurement-partnering with Corporate and agencies.
Drive continuous SEO improvements leveraging BrightEdge data and cross page content plans.
Social Media Strategy & Channel Leadership HNH
Define channel logic & ownership. Establish the purpose, audience, role, and success metrics for each social channel - Build the SoMe strategy aligned to brand & consumer programs. Translate portfolio and brand strategies and consumer awareness pilots into platform specific content strategies and paid/organic mixes. Ensure tight integration with launch plans, MarCom/PR, and digital campaigns.
Nurture channels & communities. Grow healthy follower bases a unity management, employee advocacy; coordinate with MarCom, BD/Brand leads, and Science to effectively amplify strategic content.
Paid social & amplification. Plan and optimize paid social, integrate with HubSpot journeys, and ensure UTM discipline for reliable attribution into the performance scorecard.
Demand Engine (CRM/Marketing Automation)
Own the HNH marketing use of HubSpot (in coordination with Corporate and IT), including list governance, subscription/GDPR compliance, lead capture, scoring, nurturing, and handoff to Salesforce with clear routing rules and reporting.
Define digital campaign architecture (email, landing pages, paid/organic, social) and ensure robust attribution, UTM discipline, and ROI tracking.
Performance, Analytics & Insights
Build an executive digital scorecard with leading/lagging indicators: Brand awareness, Engagement, Lead generation, Revenue impact, and Channel health.
Establish reporting rhythms and postmortems; feed insights into briefings for future content, launches, and media.
Launch & Innovation Enablement
Partner with BD/Brand leads and MarCom to digitally enable new product/content launches, campaigns and timely content, and omnichannel activation.
Compliance & risk management
Enforce LRC review requirements, ensure LRC alignment, claims discipline, and GDPR compliant subscription flows on social to CRM capture; maintain response playbooks and escalation for issues/crisis.
People Leadership & Vendors
Lead, coach, and grow a high performing digital team; clarify roles, boundaries, and development paths; manage partners and budgets to deliver quality at speed.
Budget ownership for digital channels, platforms, and agencies per Delegation of Authority; may initiate and recommend contracts/SOWs; signature authority per Corporate Contract Review, Approval & Signature Policy.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's in marketing/business/communications; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
10+ years in digital marketing with 5+ years leading teams; proven success building multichannel digital engines in B2B/B2B2C health & nutrition.
Deep exposure to HubSpot, WordPress, analytics/BI, SEO (e.g., BrightEdge), and social scheduling; understanding of Salesforce handoff and routing.
Demonstrated ability to implement steering forums, and portfolio prioritization across matrixed stakeholders, familiarity with legal & approval workflows for compliant activation.
Strategic and creative integrator; excellent stakeholder management, crisp communicator, data driven decisionmaker, and builder/optimizer of processes and teams.
The salary range for this role is between $150,000 and $180,000 per year, plus bonus, depending on qualifications and experience.
