If you are a Mechanical Engineering?student looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!?As a Mechanical Design Engineer Intern based in our Boulder, CO location, you will?be responsible for designing, testing, and maintaining instrumentation.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Use analytical skills, reasoning, and engineering judgment to develop new and innovative products and technologies

Design components including injection molded plastics, die and investment castings, stampings, machined parts, etc.

Collaborate with global, cross-functional?project teams to ensure new designs meet internal requirements and industry standards

Support proto@type construction, laboratory testing, and agency testing during the product design cycle

Apply sound engineering practices to solve quality issues

Provide continuation engineering support for existing products

Interact with software, electrical, manufacturing, marketing, supply chain, sales, and customers on technical matters

Identify and implement product and process cost reductions and improvements

For This Role, You Will Need:

Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university

Pursuing a Bachelor's in Engineering or Science

Zero (0) years of related experience

Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person for the duration of the internship.

Legal authorization to work in the United States. No sponsorship will be provided.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The starting salary for this role is $26.00 an hour, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities and experience each candidate brings to a role.
