Job Description:

Parsons is now hiring a Construction Material Coordinator for our expanding team located in Carson, CA. Parsons' extensive experience in this field, combined with your emerging knowledge of construction policy and procedures, will propel your career forward with opportunity for advancement with top performance. We need our Construction Specialists to be versatile, experienced leading teams and who have exceptional communication, analytical and management skills. In this role, you will oversee the scheduling and control of construction materials and equipment to ensure effective and timely completion of the project. You may develop design of the main field warehouse, warehouse office, outside storage yard, and other related facilities for total materials and equipment handling and technical operation of the field warehouse and tool room. Coordinates all available data to give accurate advance delivery information to the senior construction site manager and staff for future job planning.

Responsibilities:

Scheduling and control of construction materials and equipment at the port.

Expedites both field and home office purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.

Assists in receiving, off-loading, storage, and issuance of construction materials.

Field purchasing

Tracks material deliveries from all over the US.

Identifies materials by using the drawings and specifications.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience supporting field construction projects is required

Experience as a Construction Material Coordinator on a large civil/structural and/or industrial construction project is preferred

Requires a working knowledge of construction-related processes, as well as a familiarity with industry practices.

Proficient PC skills including a familiarity with various software used for inventory control, such as Document and Materials Controls System (DMCS), are desired

Salary Range: $35.05 - $61.35
