Software Engineer -Active Secret clearance required

Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key contributor, you will design, develop, and maintain innovative software solutions that meet modern industry standards. Our ideal candidate is proficient in multiple programming languages, embraces agile development methodologies, and thrives in a collaborative environment. You will be responsible for writing clean, scalable code, troubleshooting technical issues, and optimizing system performance. *Full Stack development with a focus in the back end.

Responsibilities

Manage the complete software development process from conception to deployment.

Maintain and upgrade the software following deployment.

Manage the end-to-end life cycle for the production of software and applications.

Oversee and guide the analyzing, writing, building, and deployment of software.

Oversee the automated testing and provide feedback to management during the development process.

Modify and test changes to previously developed programs.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

At least 5 years of experience in Java, C#, or Python.

At least 1 year of experience in Javascript or Typescript.

Ability to work in a modern software development office 3+ days a week with growth to 5 days when required.

Experience with the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality, scalable, and secure software applications using Java and modern frameworks such as Spring Boot or Quarkus.

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, architects, and other engineers to define, design, and ship new features.

Understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Ability to write clean, efficient, well-documented, and testable code.

Experience in the development of unit, integration, and system tests to ensure software quality.

Experience in the development of microservices and RESTful APIs.

Knowledge of working in an Agile/Scrum development environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.

Active Secret clearance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with a modern cloud provider such as AWS or Azure as well as understanding of standalone Kubernetes deployments.

Experience with modern front-end development using React or Angular as well as a corollary understanding of JavaScript or Typescript.

Experience with Source Control tools (e.g., Git, Gitlab).

Experience with DevSecOps and Agile Scrum software development methodology including using tools like Git, Jira, and Confluence.

Work Environment

You will be working in a modern Agile software company environment, primarily supporting the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. The company is mid-sized with a proven track record of successful program execution.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, Colorado.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $80.00/hr.
