Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a Cryptography SME, sitting hybrid out of the Arlington, VA area. This individual will serve as the technical lead on cryptographic architecture and computational analysis, contributing to the evaluation of cryptographic solutions, protocols, and use cases across a wide range of secure systems. While other team members focus on action officer responsibilities, this SME will provide expert feedback on pilots, training initiatives, and educational materials-especially as the COMSEC PMO is established. The ideal candidate will bring a strong academic foundation in mathematics and computer science and a deep understanding of how cryptography is applied across diverse architectures and protocols. This role requires the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior DoD leadership.

Compensation:

$100.00hr to $120.19hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the applicable law of the worksite location.

Skills and Requirements

Active Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI security clearance

12+ years of professional cryptography experience and a bachelor's degree in mathematics or computer science field

Previous experience working in a Department of Defense environment

Experience in cryptography, architecture protocols; computation analysis

Knowledge of evaluating cryptographic products and solutions

Ability to develop cryptography policy analysis, guidance, and memorandums N/A
