Day to day, you'll...
Develop and maintain a unified strategy and multi-year roadmap for Adobe Experience Platform and related tools
Continuously identify new use cases and opportunities to leverage AEP (including AJO, RTCDP, CJA, AMM, etc.) in support of marketing and customer experience objectives
Ensure H&R Block's AEP investments are aligned with business goals and deliver measurable value
Architect end-to-end solutions that connect Adobe Experience Cloud products with each other and with H&R Block's broader technology ecosystem

Oversee technical integration of AEP with external systems ( e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud for messaging, data warehouses like Snowflake/Databricks for enrichment) in partnership with IT, making sure solutions are scalable and reliable
Govern the customer data usage within AEP with a focus on quality, privacy, and compliance
Define data schemas (XDM) and identity stitching approaches in Real-Time CDP that support a single customer view
Implement data governance policies (consent management, GDPR/CCPA compliance) and work with legal/privacy teams to enforce privacy-centric data collaboration use cases via RTCDP Collaboration
Ensure data ingested and activated through AEP meets security and quality standards, and that profile data is used responsibly across marketing programs
Guide the design of personalized customer journeys and experiences using Adobe tools
Advise on the setup of Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) for orchestrating omni-channel journeys (triggered messages, next-best-action programs) and ensure integration of decisioning logic with Real-Time CDP segments
Oversee usage of Adobe Target for on-site personalization and testing, in coordination with the Testing Lead, to guarantee consistency between in-app/onsite personalization and offsite journey messaging.
Work with analytics teams to configure Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) and Adobe Analytics to harvest insights from the AEP ecosystem
Ensure that data from AEP (profiles, segments, journey outcomes) is connected to reporting dashboards and Adobe Mix Modeler for marketing mix modeling and attribution
Champion a feedback loop where learnings from analytics (campaign performance, attribution results) inform new audience strategies or journey tweaks in AEP
Serve as the bridge between business and IT for Adobe Experience Cloud initiatives
Lead cross-functional working groups or a Center of Excellence for AEP to ensure alignment and transparency on platform usage, upcoming releases, and ongoing projects
Oversee any consulting or vendor partnerships related to the AEP rollout and enhancements
Coordinate with IT on environments, deployments, and resolving technical issues impacting the business use of the platform
Establish and enforce governance frameworks for the Adobe platforms
Monitor platform usage for adherence to best practices and intervene to course-correct as needed
Maintain up-to-date documentation and runbooks for business users of AEP tools
Conduct training sessions and demos for marketing and analytics teams to demonstrate new features
Mentor junior team members or power users in how to build effective experiments, audiences, and journeys
Define KPIs to track the business impact of AEP initiatives (e.g., lift in conversion due to personalization, improved campaign speed-to-market, incremental revenue from better targeting)
Work with analytics to produce regular readouts for leadership on how personalization and journey efforts are contributing to business outcomes
