THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Accountant 1, you will perform a variety of professional accounting tasks. You will assist with budgeting, post invoices, and prepare general ledger reports and trial balances. You will also reconcile the posting of client income and revenue to general ledger accounts and conduct internal audits of the petty cash fund. This role requires accomplishing accounting work in an effective and efficient manner that will enable our providers to continue to deliver supportive services to at-risk children and their families. In addition, you will prepare income calculation worksheets, complete Status Control Logs for each child in placement, invoice attorneys for caseworkers subpoenaed to testify at custody hearings, and train fiscal technicians.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year of professional accounting experience and graduation from a four year college or university, including or supplemented by 15 credits in accounting; or
One year as a Fiscal Technician and 15 college credits in accounting; or
Five years of bookkeeping experience; and 15 college credits in accounting.
