Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: Westminster, CO (Hybrid: Onsite Tuesday-Thursday, Remote Monday & Friday)

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Type: Temp-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $25-$30/hour (based on experience)

Position Summary

Kelly Services is seeking an Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join a growing accounting team in Westminster, CO. This role will be responsible for managing incoming payments, recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely collection of funds. The AR Specialist will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and supporting the organization's cash flow.

This is a temp-to-hire position offering a hybrid schedule with three days onsite and two days remote.

Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle accounts receivable including billing, payment application, and customer account maintenance.

Monitor customer accounts for timely payments; follow up on overdue balances.

Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, unapplied cash, and short-pays.

Manage customer payments via third-party provider sites.

Prepare and maintain AR aging reports, reconciliation schedules, and month/year-end closing documentation.

Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing or payment issues.

Assist with compliance documentation requests.

Provide visibility into collections and customer payment trends to support cash forecasting.

Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements.

Recommend and support process improvements and automation opportunities.

Qualifications

2-4 years of accounting experience with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable.

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (Vista, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).

Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations).

Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Knowledge of GAAP and internal control principles.

Preferred:

Experience in a high-volume, multi-entity, and multi-currency environment.

Exposure to process automation tools.

Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced, growing organization.
