Requirements

What you will do...

The Senior Accountant is responsible for leading a team of 2, and working closely with the Controller.

Backup to both A/R and Payroll

Accounts Payable

Contract management, setup and monthly billing

Independent contractor management, setup, and monthly payments

Ensure accuracy of financial records - reconciling all balance sheet accounts monthly

Create reports and financial statements, explain to management variances

Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements (ie sales tax)

Provide support to management as requested

What is required...

Minimum 2 years in an accounting role, with accounts payable focus

Strong understanding and application of basic accounting rules

Proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, and pivot tables) and accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)

Able to supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals

Able to learn quickly and work independently

Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Strong attention to detail and follow up/follow through

Driven to achieve department and company goals

Solve problems and learn how to prevent them

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

Reliable transportation
