Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our team in Seattle, Washington. In this role, you will manage financial processes for property portfolios, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. You will play a key role in handling accounts, preparing budgets, and generating financial reports to support decision-making.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.

Prepare annual budgets and monitor expenses to ensure alignment with financial goals.

Handle billing, adjustments, and reconciliations for tenants and property accounts.

Manage tenant direct billings and ensure timely communication of notices.

Perform tenant and bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.

Record and review general ledger entries, journal entries, and balance sheet transactions.

Generate monthly financial reports to provide insights into property performance.

Utilize Yardi software for accounting tasks and data management.

Support month-end close processes and ensure compliance with accrual accounting practices.

The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $120,000.

Requirements - Proven experience in property accounting, specifically handling accounts payable and receivable.

Proficiency in Yardi software and familiarity with other accounting tools.

Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and accrual accounting.

Expertise in managing general ledger entries, journal entries, and balance sheets.

Ability to prepare accurate budgets and financial reports.

Skill in billing, account adjustments, and reconciliations.

Detail-oriented approach with excellent organizational and analytical abilities.

Effective communication skills to coordinate with tenants and stakeholders.
