BUSINESS ANALYST (CESAM):
Bowhead seeks a Business Analyst to join our team in Mobile, AL. The Business Analyst will support Geographic Information Systems (GIS) by performing data transformations within the water management database through scripting with various computer languages including JAVA, Jython, Python, AWS Cloud Computing, FORTRAN, and other higher-level languages.
Responsibilities
Develops and maintains data dissemination processes for the District Water Management mission that includes network connectivity to other sites and support of internal/external web pages
Develops and supports interfaces to the Corps hydrologic models such as HEC-HMS and HEC-ResSim to provide capabilities unique to district mission needs
Troubleshoot issues with databases, servers, network connections, and/or data feeds for the water control data system with other IT professionals
Support all water management efforts to migrate processes and databases to the cloud
Develop new methods for data and product exchanges with partner agencies and the public
Coordinates appropriate interface and system software changes when new equipment is installed
Apply analytical processes to the planning, design, and implementation of new and improved information systems to meet the mission requirements
Adapts behavior and work methods in response to new information, changing conditions or unexpected obstacles
Troubleshoots system problems, corrects and/or makes modifications regularly
Qualifications
A BA/S is preferred.
Associates degree or two to four years (2-4+)years' of relevant experience.
Demonstrable experience scripting in JAVA, Jython, Python, AWS Cloud Computing, FORTRAN, and other higher-level languages.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills and interpersonal skills are imperative.
Multitasking, good judgment, and the ability to work both alone and as part of a team are required.
Experience with Agile development methodologies, Camtasia, eMASS, the Esri ArcGIS suite of products, GitLab, SharePoint, and/or SpecsIntact is a plus.
Candidates with minimal programming background are highly encouraged to apply.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
