INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT REPAIRER (CRANE OPERATOR)

Summary You will serve as a INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT REPAIRER (CRANE OPERATOR) in the G-F Department, Public Works Division, Utilities Branch, Water and Wastewater Maintenance Section of MARINE CORPS BASE. Responsibilities You will complete preventive maintenance on engines, electric motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, pumps, valves, and other industrial equipment that is found in both water and wastewater systems. You will maintain equipment, parts, and supplies by inventorying stock and placing orders for needed parts and supplies. You will operate a mobile boom crane on a regular, recurring basis to remove, replace and install raw water well pumps throughout the Camp Lejeune Complex You will remove and install other equipment and auxiliaries which weigh in excess of 2,000 lbs. such as motors, blowers, aerators, valves, piping, etc. You will locate potential problems by using precision measuring and testing instruments to locate problems and making necessary adjustments or transferring work to a journeyman maintenance mechanic for completion.
