Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Milford, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone who excels in financial reporting and reconciliation tasks. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization and work on key accounting projects.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and manage journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.

Perform regular reconciliations of accounts to maintain data integrity.

Support month-end and year-end closing processes with thorough documentation and reporting.

Maintain and update the general ledger with a focus on accuracy and completeness.

Handle corporate tax filings and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Oversee sales tax reporting and submission in accordance with state and local laws.

Assist with special accounting projects as assigned by management.

Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data to uphold compliance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting procedures. Requirements - Proven experience in corporate tax and sales tax management.

Proficiency in preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts.

Strong knowledge of month-end and year-end closing processes.

Attention to detail and ability to perform accurate reconciliations.

Familiarity with accounting software and tools to ensure efficiency.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
