Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Framingham, Massachusetts. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting tasks, including payment processing, customer service, and financial data management. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the efficiency of local government operations.

Responsibilities:

Process payments accurately and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to financial transactions.

Perform daily cash reconciliations to ensure proper handling of funds.

Enter financial data into accounting systems with precision and consistency.

Verify and process invoices to ensure timely and accurate payment.

Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, maintaining organized records.

Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting software to support financial operations.

Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Assist in preparing reports and summaries of financial activities as needed. Requirements - Proven experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.

Ability to process invoices and payments efficiently.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong communication skills to provide effective customer service.

Familiarity with basic accounting principles and practices.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
