The Red Hat Engineering team is searching for a Software Engineer to enhance the Cluster Lifecycle Team. This role involves developing new features for the automated provisioning and management of Managed OpenShift services, with a strong emphasis on leveraging AI for @context, insights, and automation. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal teams and the open-source community.
What you will do
Partner with Red Hat AI community and stakeholders to identify opportunities to use machine learning, GenAI and AI Software Development practices across our organization.
Manage end-to-end development, including requirements gathering, data collection, feature engineering, modeling, testing/validation, and implementation/delivery of Machine Learning models such as LLM, RAG.
Coordinate with team leads, architects, and other engineers on model design and architecture.
Work and partner with our Red Hat's AI community to evolve AI adoption across our teams and beyond.
Publicize the team's work through open-source communities, blogs, web postings,and conference talks.
What you will bring
2+ years of experience working in a Linux environment with at least one language like Golang or Python.
Experience with microservices architecture and concepts including APIs, versioning, monitoring, etc.
Demonstrated experience building, deploying and managing applications in a Kubernetes environment.
Strong theoretical knowledge and applied experience of statistics and machine learning models and algorithms (unsupervised and supervised).
Ability to examine various technological areas deeply and deliver solutions.
Great communication and collaboration skills, with a solid attention to detail.
Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
Proficient written and verbal English communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent working experience.
Nice to have:
Familiarity with DevOps.
Open source development experience.
The salary range for this position is $94,550.00 - $151,170.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat's compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
