Summary You will serve as a FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST at a Naval Consolidated Brig (NAVCONBRIG) Detachment under NAVAL CONSOLIDATED BRIG CHESAPEAKE. Responsibilities You will advise on the repair and maintenance of facility projects by applying standard building construction techniques. You will identify operational needs to maintain effectiveness of facility operations. You will coordinate personnel or equipment resources to achieve facility project goals You will brief decision makers on potential obstacles for facilities project completion. You will prepare facilities funding categories, financial reports, and funding documents to meet mission requirements. You will evaluate facilities maintenance workforce to develop recommendations for training and development. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector 1) Inspect physical plant structures, utilities, roadways, and surrounding grounds to ensure in compliance with regulations; 2) Provide continuity of facility grounds and maintenance essential to maintain a safe, healthy and comfortable facility; and 3) Oversee compliance with all certifications, safety, fire prevention, and security program requirements.
