Our Advanced Radar RF & Design Department has an immediate need for a Production Support Electrical Engineer I. We are looking for candidates to collaborate and coordinate with our manufacturing facility, Program Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to proactively and efficiently resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration. This position will reside within the Advanced Radar RF & Design Department that will support airborne radar programs. Location: Plano, TX or McKinney, TX

What You Will Do

Ensure Special Test Equipment is always operable while improving test yield

Perform technical evaluations of hardware with the ability to categorize failures and systematically disposition failing hardware in a timely manner

Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities

Communicate to program leadership status updates of hardware failures

Ability to travel periodically to manufacturing facilities, suppliers, or customer sites to support the production (up to 25%).

What You Will Learn

Gain experience with RF and Digital Electronics that apply to Advanced Airborne Radars

Qualifications You Must Have

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major

Experience with digital circuit card troubleshooting

Experience with analysis of technical data

Experience with fault isolation / troubleshooting

Qualifications We Prefer

Ability to understand software languages to troubleshoot digital hardware

Strong communication skills including report writing and presentations

Conduct failure investigations and provide recommendations to address systemic issues and to prevent recurrence

Experience with fiber optic methodologies, standards, inspection criteria, equipment, or tools

Experience with Manufacturing Engineering

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS) , an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
