Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in El Segundo, California. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic retail organization while developing your accounting expertise. The role requires someone with strong attention to detail who can effectively manage multiple tasks in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Process and reconcile weekly and monthly store sales reports against state sales data, identifying discrepancies and communicating them to relevant teams.

Coordinate inventory management for National Forest Passes and Federal Duck Stamps, ensuring accurate ordering, monitoring, and distribution.

Oversee recall processes for Federal Duck Stamp and Annual National Forest Pass programs, ensuring compliance and timely execution.

Manage the HQ Employee Purchase Program, including inventory verification, policy adherence, order submission, distribution, payment collection, and fund reconciliation.

Accurately process supply invoices using manual purchase orders, maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth operations and effective communication regarding accounting processes.

Participate in both in-office and hybrid work schedules, adhering to training and program-specific attendance requirements.

Maintain meticulous records and documentation to support financial audits and reporting.

Support other administrative and accounting tasks as needed to contribute to team success. Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in Accounts Payable, accounting, or a related field is preferred.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to manage complex tasks effectively.

Ability to prioritize and adapt to shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems is a plus.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.

Flexible, reliable, and committed to maintaining a positive workplace attitude.

Ability to work in both in-office and remote settings, adhering to schedule requirements.

Familiarity with invoice processing, coding, and check runs is highly advantageous.
