Collections Specialist

Description We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team in Santa Fe Springs, California, on a contract basis. This role involves managing accounts receivable and collections processes with precision and attention to detail. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in collections and accounts receivable, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Apply and reconcile daily cash transactions to ensure accurate posting to customer accounts.

Manage customer invoices through various portals, maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Conduct collections activities with a focus on maintaining attention to detail and effective communication with customers.

Prepare and post journal entries during month-end closing processes.

Utilize Excel tools, such as pivot tables and conditional formatting, to analyze and maintain financial data.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and improve account management.

Ensure compliance with billing and invoicing procedures within customer portals. Requirements - At least 5 years of experience in accounts receivable and collections is preferred.

Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and conditional formatting.

Familiarity with customer billing portals and electronic invoicing systems.

Ability to work independently while maintaining high attention to detail.

Strong communication skills and a customer-focused, detail-oriented approach.

Capability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with Epicor software is a plus.
