Hiring for an Accounting Assistant!

weekly pay + benefits + time off

Must Have Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Proficiency in payroll processing and bookkeeping.

Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and general ledger accounting.

At least 2 years of relevant experience in accounting.

High level understanding of the accounting process.

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will handle key financial operations while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the accounting process and be able to manage a high volume of invoices and payroll tasks.

Responsibilities:

Post payables and apply cash transactions.

Track and call on receivables to ensure timely collection.

Manage receivables and process invoicing efficiently.

Handle payroll responsibilities through Paychex, particularly for union employees.

Pay bills promptly and accurately.

Assist with financials and cash flow reporting.

Provide advice and support in a fast-paced and sometimes chaotic environment.

Engage in tedious bookkeeping tasks such as billing and ensuring accuracy in financial data.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Accounting degree preferred.

Experience in smaller company environments, particularly in construction or manufacturing.

Union experience is a plus.

Familiarity with Paylocity for payroll management.

Ability to work with IQ operating system for scheduling and operations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $34.00/hr.
