Grounded in a comprehensive, broad-based education and enriched by hands-on research opportunities, SIUE equips its students with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in a global marketplace and positively impact their communities.\ \ What You Will Do\ \ Advise and support administrative and programmatic functions in the office, including but not limited to management of Get Involved, Blackboard, Asset Tiger, Shifts, Social Media and Marketing.\ Creating training materials to support successful engagement with office programs and activities.\ Support assessment and data tracking initiatives related to office wide impact and story telling.\ \ FLSA: Non-Exempt\ \ Minimum Acceptable Qualifications\ \ Bachelor\'s degree required; experience in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or related field preferred.\ Experience working with college students, student organizations, or event planning preferred.\ Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.\ Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, student-centered environment.\ \ Supplemental Information\ \ Application Materials and Information:\ \ To be eligible for the role, ensure that your application includes a complete and detailed employment history that highlights your relevant full-time and part time work experience, including start and end dates of employment, and at least three professional references.\ Applications must be submitted by the specified closing date no later than 11:59 p.m. CST.\ \ About Extra Help Positions:\ \ Extra Help job listings typically close three days after the opening date, unless specified in the closing date. Extra Help employees are appointed to fulfill casual or emergent needs within the university. The amount of time for which services are needed is not usually predictable and payment for work performed is on an hourly basis and based on actual hours worked. Workdays and hours may vary according to departmental requirements. Extra Help employees do not receive SIUE benefits, holiday pay or paid sick or vacation leave.\ \ Extra Help employees are required by State Universities Civil Service System rules to take a 30-calendar-day break after working 900 hours. At the end of the 30 days, you may begin another 900-hour employment cycle in a new position if available. Working Extra Help will in no way affect any other employment opportunities with SIUE, including your position on and Civil Service register.
