Marine Structural Engineer - Waterfront Projects

About the Role

We are seeking a Marine Structural Engineer with a passion for waterfront design and construction to join our growing team in New York City. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact shoreline projects and contribute to the design and development of waterfront structures including:

Bulkheads

Retaining walls

Piers and platforms

Revetments and breakwaters

Fenders, docks, and flood resiliency systems

You'll play a key role in both design and fieldwork, collaborating with engineers and project managers to deliver innovative and resilient infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Perform structural and geotechnical design for waterfront and site construction projects

Observe and monitor waterfront construction activities for conformance with design documents

Assist in preparing design deliverables, technical reports, and permit applications

Conduct field inspections of waterfront facilities and provide engineering observations during construction

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in structural, waterfront/marine, or geotechnical engineering

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (required)

EIT certification (required)

Prior field experience in waterfront facility inspections and construction observation

Experience with waterfront structures is highly preferred

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $103000.00/yr.

Full-time employment company paid medical, dental, and vision coverage; life insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, and paid pregnancy disability leave; 401(k)/Roth with company match; paid time off including parental and military leave; employee referral and professional license bonuses; and educational reimbursement.
