Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the general supervision of the Director of Cardiopulmonary the Respiratory Student provides comprehensive respiratory care to include: basic respiratory care, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, arterial blood gas, electrocardiograms. The position will be responsible for the care of patients ages:

What you will do in this role:

75% of department in-services and meetings attends and assumes responsibility for 100% of content presented.

Perform duties for an average of 90% of shift hours.

Records all pertinent information in sequential and timely manner.

Maintains accurate departmental forms.

Maintains required authorizations and certifications.

Cleans, disinfects, sterilizes, packages, stores, and maintains pertinent equipment to assure adequate reprocessing and storage if equipment is required.

Assists in the maintenance of a neat, safe, and attractive departmental area.

Performs additional duties as department needs dictation.

Participates in continuing quality improvement program.

What qualifications you will need:

Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

High School Graduate / GED
