Mechanical Engineer with Central Utility Plant Expertise! Bring your
talented, design-sensitive, and ambitious expertise to HGA, a nationally
recognized architecture, engineering, and design firm. We\'re seeking a
Mechanical Engineer to join our team and play a key role in delivering
innovative, high-performance solutions across a wide range of project
@types. In this role, you\'ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
and contribute to projects that span healthcare facilities, corporate
headquarters, laboratories, museums, government buildings (local, state,
and federal), higher education campuses, and infrastructure
improvements. What We\'re Looking For: We\'re seeking experienced
professionals with a strong consulting engineering background,
particularly in: Central Utility Plant design and steam systems Expert
knowledge of applicable codes and regulations Extensive understanding of
standard engineering practices, techniques, and procedures Proven
problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively with internal teams
and external clients to address complex engineering challenges This is
an exciting opportunity to take a leadership role on impactful projects
and help shape innovative solutions at the intersection of design,
technology, and performance. In this role you will: be responsible for
HVAC engineering design including: calculating heating and cooling
loads, select equipment, layout duct and piping, create and edit project
details, and write and edit project engineering specifications; lead
client management and team coordination; participate in design review
meetings and workshops; resolve a variety of complex design challenges
including conflicting Owner and project requirements, application of
different system @types, or challenging field conditions; research design
options and document findings for the project team; assure drawings and
designs are in accordance with local codes and design standards; and
coordinate with architectural and engineering disciplines as applicable.
You will need to have: B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or
Architectural Engineering 8 years minimum of consulting engineering
experience with emphasis on Central Utility Plant design for multiple
