As the Director of Aquatics you will provide oversight of our Waterpark Operations, by ensuring a safe, clean, family-fun activity center to guests of the hotel while providing leadership and direction to the Waterpark & Activities Team. Tucked within historic Lake Geneva, Timber Ridge Lodge at Grand Geneva Resort is the only all-season, all-suite, destination of its kind in the Midwest. Featuring 50,000 square feet of year-round, indoor/outdoor waterpark excitement, Timber Ridge Lodge is a family bonding adventure that\'s soaked in memories. The Grand Geneva is also home to two championship golf courses, WELL Spa and fitness center, Mountain Top Ski Park, award-winning restaurants, and 1300 acres of picturesque grounds. What will you be doing? Oversee all administrative duties for staff and park operations including hiring, training, and scheduling employees, submitting payroll edits, tracking attendance, and implementing disciplinary actions. Provide daily coaching and mentoring to Waterpark associates, ensuring maintenance of training records and equipment, and coordinating with engineering and vendors for maintenance. Manage compliance with local, state, and federal laws, safety and sanitation standards, and payroll responsibilities. Promote a safe and professional workplace, enforce rules and regulations, implement and update emergency action plans and schedule emergency practice drills. Coordinate water quality concerns, including testing water, recording results, adding chemicals, and addressing customer comments, while also monitoring and ensuring timely maintenance of all equipment in collaboration with the engineering department and outside vendors. Communicate and implement park closures as needed for unforeseen circumstances. Attend workshops/meetings to enhance Aquatic Center and hotel operations. Handle community relations and emergency first aid, provide surveillance during park hours and special events, and respond to emergencies. Evaluate lifeguard staff, communicate with guests in a courteous manner, and coordinate accident reports. Communicate with management regarding staff, training, recommendations, and other duties as assigned. Perform Manager on Duty shifts as assigned. What do you bring to the role?
