The System Support Specialist will work within the ATS IT department and is responsible for providing technical support to employees across the organization. This position ensures that ATS employees have reliable access to the technological resources required to perform their roles effectively. The role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing user accounts, assisting with onboarding and offboarding, and maintaining documentation in alignment with IT policies and procedures. This position has frequent contact with ATS managers and users, peers, and vendors.
Job Responsibilities
· IT System Support Specialist
o Serve as the first point of contact for employee technical support requests
o Diagnose and resolve issues related to computers, mobile devices, printers, phones, and other office technology.
o Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, operating systems, and applications.
o Basic Active Directory user management
o Provide support for collaboration platforms, video conferencing, and remote access.
o Document all support requests, resolutions, and processes within the IT ticketing system.
o Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including hardware setup and account provisioning.
o Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and monitoring to ensure reliability and security.
o Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or system administrators when required.
o Promote adherence to IT and security policies through employee guidance and training
o Work with IT team to create and maintain documentation of IT environment and systems
o Perform other job-related tasks and projects as assigned by management
Other Responsibilities/Expectations
· Attend regular department meetings to discuss day-to-day workload, current and future projects.
· Seek opportunities for professional advancement through classes, seminars, webinars, events, self-study, etc.
· Pursue IT certifications
Experience Requirements
· Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered
· 2 or more years' IT experience
· Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows environments.
· Working knowledge of Office 365, Active Directory, and related applications.
· Familiarity with basic networking concepts (Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP).
· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with IT ticketing systems (e.g., ConnectWise, NinjaOne, ServiceNow, Zendesk, Jira).
· Familiarity with mobile device management (MDM) and remote desktop tools.
· Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, or similar).
· Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications).
Skill Requirements
· Ability to pass vocabulary test on current business hardware, software, and mobile devices.
· Possess professional, effective written and oral communication/presentation skills.
· Persistence and willingness to learn and adapt.
· Maintain professional appearance and work ethic at all times.
· Capacity to multi-task, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail.
· Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office products (e.g., Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, etc.).
Work Environment:
· Full-time, onsite role with standard business hours.
· Occasional after-hours or weekend support may be required during system upgrades or critical incidents.
· Collaborative team environment with opportunities for growth in IT system administration and infrastructure support.
