Position Description:
Are you a talented Azure Synapse Developer looking for an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills and make a real impact? Join our dynamic team and take on the challenge of supporting client-specific development of our client's cutting-edge BI solution. We are seeking an experienced Azure Synapse Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data solutions using the Azure Synapse Analytics platform.
This position is located in our Arlington, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. Other hybrid locations are Belton, TX, Lafayette, LA, Knoxville, TN, Lebanon, VA.
This role requires you to be a USC or GC holder.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Design and develop data integration and transformation solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics platform.
Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
Optimize and tune data pipelines and queries for performance and scalability.
Implement data security and governance best practices within the Synapse environment.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data processing and analytics.
Document technical solutions and provide knowledge transfer to team members.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years experience as an Azure Synapse Developer or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services and Synapse Analytics platform.
Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies.
Proficiency in SQL and data modeling.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, Azure Developer).
Experience with big data technologies such as Spark and Hadoop.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $76.600.00 - $134,100.00.
