Position Description:

We are looking for an Entry Level Engineer to join our ICE Team to improve infrastructure in our Taylor office. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering and zero to three years of experience. Completion of Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation In Roads is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication/coordination skills are essential. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 30 days of employment.

Typical responsibilities include:

Design various site development projects including commercial, institutional, and residential plans from concept through construction including the following: site planning, site grading, site balancing, storm water design, horizontal and vertical design of underground utilities, obtain jurisdictional approvals/permits, and prepare design reports and construction plans using local and state standards.

Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities

Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks

Monitor task budget and progress

Conduct on-site observations as needed

Maintain multiple project assignments

Verify field survey notes

Prepare project status and other reports

Assist Project Managers

Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc.

Attend seminars and/or training classes

Maintain excellent client relations

Maintain a safe working environment

Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

Skills/Experience:
0 to 3 years of related experience required

Completion of Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam preferred

Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation In Roads is preferred
