Job Title: Technical Writer Job Description

Lead the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of company-wide communication initiatives using multiple communication channels, including traditional and digital media. This role involves strategy and tactics, creative direction, research, writing, editing, and validation. Provide technical expertise in selecting the most appropriate media channels to maximize communication impacts. Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate effective communications, primarily targeting internal audiences to achieve business objectives. Build strategic communication plans that translate business priorities into practical and effective communication strategies.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning and development of communication initiatives.

Implement and evaluate communication strategies using various channels.

Provide technical expertise in media channel selection.

Develop communication plans for internal audiences to meet business objectives.

Translate business priorities into effective strategic communication plans.

Essential Skills

Proven experience in communications management, public relations, and media relations.

Proficiency in using SharePoint.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in communication, marketing, public relations/media, or a related discipline.

Five years of experience in institutional or corporate communications with a focus on communication analysis/planning and multimedia strategies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to interpret complex data into communication strategies.

Strong organizational, creative, grammar, writing, and human relations skills.

Proficiency in AP Style and in using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with SharePoint.

Degree or equivalent in communication, marketing, public relations/media, or related discipline.

Work Environment

The role is situated in a corporate, office environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Memphis, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr.
