Summary You will serve as a NAVSEA Research and Engineering Network Enterprise Architect in the Depuity IT Department (104B), in the ACIO/Information Technology Division (104) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. Responsibilities You will develop information technology (IT) rules and requirements that describe baseline and target architectures. You will analyze WC needs and requirements to plan architecture. You will develop enterprise architecture or system components required to meet WC needs. You will document and update as necessary all definition and architecture activities. You will employ secure configuration management processes. You will ensure acquired or developed system(s) and architecture(s) are consistent with organization's cybersecurity architecture guidelines. You will identify and prioritize critical business functions in collaboration with organizational stakeholders. You will plan implementation strategy to ensure enterprise components integration and alignment. You will analyze candidate architectures, allocate security services, and select security mechanisms. You will capture and integrate essential system capabilities or business functions required for partial or full system restoration after a catastrophic failure event. You will define appropriate levels of system availability based on critical system functions and ensure system requirements identify appropriate disaster recovery and continuity of operations requirements. You will develop a system security @context, a preliminary system security CONOPS, and define baseline system security requirements in accordance with applicable cybersecurity requirements. You will document how the implementation of a new system or new interface between systems impacts the current and target environment including but not limited to security posture. You will evaluate security architectures and designs to determine the adequacy of security design and architecture proposed or provided in response to requirements contained in acquisition documents. You will integrate key management functions as related to cyberspace and integrate results regarding the identification of gaps in security architecture. You will provide advice on project costs, design concepts, or design changes. You will provide input to the Risk Management Framework process activities and related documentation (e.g., system life-cycle support plans, concept of operations, operational procedures, and maintenance training materials). You will translate proposed capabilities into technical requirements and write detailed functional specifications that document the architecture development process. You will diagnose faulty system/server hardware and conduct functional and connectivity testing to ensuring continuing operability. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing, integrating, analyzing, implementing or maintaining enterprise architecture to support enterprise mission needs. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
