Our work depends on a Peripheral Testing Engineer joining our team to support mission objectives in Annapolis Junction, MD.
At GDIT, we foster a people-focused and customer-centric environment in delivering Desktop Engineering services.? As a Peripheral Testing Engineer supporting our government customer, you will be responsible for performing integration testing and reporting of new desktop systems, thin client devices, and peripherals against new baselines, BIOS updates, and device drivers.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Work with the Government end-user community, Government specific software applications, and other Service Areas to ensure best integration of end-use compute across the environment as well as diagnosing issues and providing solutions
Maintains the integrity and security of Desktop Images, Servers, Systems, and Peripherals
Evaluates desktop/ software and hardware technologies and determines how they can best be effectively integrated into the customer's environment.
Develops, tests, deploys, and maintains Group Policy Objects (GPOs) in Microsoft Active Directory (AD) for end user devices which implement STIG and other device and account controls.
Develops, tests, and deploys desktop/images including applications, GPO updates, and client supported peripheral devices.
Designs and integrates new software and hardware into the customer's environment.
Manages anti-virus and malware detection, analysis, and remediation. This includes providing installation, configuration, and support for anti-virus and anti-malware software tools.
Manages Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools for the desktop environment, including installation, configuration, and support for DLP tools.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
Perform research, analysis, and design for all OS systems and the network infrastructure.
Develop, implement, and document formal configuration guides as needed.
Ensure that essential services are installed on supported versions of OS and keep the versions of the services themselves up to date
Provides technical hardware compatibility testing and accreditation of peripheral devices
Evaluates testing results
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI poly
Education: Bachelor of Science Degree, or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security
8+ years of relevant experience
Experience with deploying, configuring, and managing enterprise configuration and application management solutions using Microsoft Configuration Manager (MCM)
Experience with deploying, configuring, and managing enterprise solutions for Windows 7 and 10
Experience with developing and enhancing operational procedures and new innovative solutions to address current and emerging IT challenges

The likely salary range for this position is $127,500 - $172,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
