Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk. This role is focused primarily on processing inventory invoices, with additional responsibilities for handling expense invoices. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong work ethic, dependability, and a positive attitude, while also being eager to learn and ask questions to ensure accuracy and efficiency in their work.

Key Responsibilities:

Process a high volume of inventory invoices while assisting with expense invoices in compliance with company policies.

Perform 2-way and 3-way matching to reconcile purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents, ensuring proper approvals and documentation are in place.

Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Purchasing, Receiving) to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate records.

Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation within the accounting system for audit purposes.

Provide support in vendor communication, including inquiries regarding payments, statements, and discrepancies.

Ensure compliance with payment terms and deadlines to avoid penalties or interruptions in vendor relationships.

Cross-train and assist with other AP functions as needed within the department.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Basic understanding of accounts payable functions, including 2- and 3-way matching processes.

Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in accounts payable is desired, but motivated fresh graduate accounting applicants are encouraged to apply.

Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
