The Fourth Judicial District of the Iowa Judicial Branch is seeking candidates for a Judicial Operations Clerk position in the Cass County Clerk of Court office in Atlantic, IA.

The starting salary for new State employees is expected to be at the base of the pay range. The starting pay for this position is $21.42/hour. Adjustments may be made if the successful applicant has relevant experience. This is a contract-covered, FLSA non-exempt position.

Hours:Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Ability to assist Judges, Attorneys, and Pro Se Litigants

Travel to other counties in Iowa may be required.

Under the direct supervision of the Clerk of Court or designee, candidates will have the desire to learn the complexities of our court case processing system using our statewide Electronic Document Management System (EDMS). This position performs clerical tasks in maintaining and processing court records and materials as well as assisting customers with court related matters. This position may occasionally involve travel to other counties in the district.

This is a non-merit position with the Iowa Judicial Branch. Candidates must follow the instructions in the "To Apply" section.

Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

The incumbent must meet the minimum requirements to qualify for the position.

High school diploma (or high school equivalency diploma).

One (1) year of experience in customer service.

Two (2) years of professional experience in business, court or legal work, or related area is preferred.

*Education cannot be substituted for customer service experience.
