Description

Robert Half is assisting a client in San Diego, CA, with the recruitment of an Account Specialist. This is an exciting contract-to-permanent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to contribute to an organization's financial success while growing within the role. Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee account activities, including billing, receivables, and collections.

Ensure prompt and accurate payment posting for client accounts while addressing discrepancies.

Conduct account reconciliation and monitor balances, creating actionable reports for management.

Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, resolving inquiries professionally and efficiently.

Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and finance, to ensure seamless account operations.

Support month-end and year-end accounting close processes, including report generation and audits.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

Maintain organized records for accounts, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in account management, finance, or a related role.

Familiarity with general accounting principles and expertise in managing accounts.

Proficiency in accounting software, such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or equivalent platforms.

Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, such as creating reports with formulas and pivot tables.

Exceptional attention to detail, with strong organizational and follow-up skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with clients and internal teams.

Ability to prioritize tasks while balancing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in industries such as nonprofit, construction, manufacturing, or professional services.

Familiarity with multi-entity accounts or complex account structures.

Background in high-volume account management or shared service environments.
