The vision of Gas Turbine Fuel Systems Division is to be the global leader in the design, development, manufacture, and service of engine fuel, lubrication, and thermal management systems and components for aerospace/defense and industrial applications. SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing all aspects of environmental, health, safety and efficient maintenance and coordination of all facility services, processes, systems, operations and contracts. for the site. Works in coordination with site, division and corporate resources to ensure the safest possible work environment and minimize the environmental impact of the business. Manages maintenance and facilities staff and subcontractors.
EHS Responsibilities
Supports a culture of excellence in safety and environmental management through effective communication and employee engagement. Drives actions in pursuit of a Zero Incident culture.
Responsible for execution of applicable EHS management systems which includes the corporate EHS directives, ISO certification requirements, and any other applicable EHS management system certifications or elements.
Responsible for EHS reporting, including performance against targets and goals, regulatory reporting, and corporate, business unit and customer required reporting.
Manages the EHS training program for applicable training required across the business unit from employee to leader. Ensures all personnel have required certifications.
Works with site personnel to track risk and incident data, assess risks and use structured problem solving to determine root cause, and eliminate risk throughout the facility.
Coordinates an EHS corrective action program, to include EHS audits, regulatory inspections, customer EHS audits and other assessments that identify EHS issues requiring corrective action. Act as onsite contact for local, state, and federal government agencies.
Plans, schedules, assigns and supervises work of the maintenance department. Effectively demonstrates team member competencies and participates in goal-setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities.
Maintains facility equipment and preventative maintenance programs.
Satisfies ongoing documentation of testing on security and fire systems.
Oversees moderately complex planning, design, reconfiguration, construction, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.
Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions and/or permit requirements, required completion dates, and construction feasibility.
Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs. Obtains quotes and supplies cost information on facility construction or improvement projects. Maintains supplier/contractor relationships.
Coordinates a resource conservation program including energy use, water use, and waste generated from production.
Lead an EHS program for change management which includes new processes, equipment, materials and people.
Supports awareness and integration of EHS into other functional areas such as Lean, Quality, Supply Chain, HR, etc. Leverages existing systems and procedures in those functional areas to the extent possible in EHS management.
Facilities Manager Responsibilities
Direct supervision of employees: building and grounds, office operations, and facility technology department supervisors.
Regular contact with all levels of management and facility service providers.
Responsible for solutions to building issues.
Manage building and grounds, office operations, and associated staff.
Coordinate all contract negotiations with facility vendors and service providers and facility purchases.
Work with Division departments to define and resolve issues involving the facility.
Prepare and administer annual budgets for operation and management of department.
Develop cost allocations for facility operations and services.
Monitor monthly facility expenses and apply continuous improvement methods to control costs.
Develop efficient cost-effective means of facility operation and maintenance.
Develop and maintain current facility emergency, management, and training programs.
Schedule project and staff assignments to comply with facility needs and priorities.
Maintain communications with building residents and vendors.
Manage selection, training, and development of facility department staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in safety engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, or other related discipline and eight or more years of experience in EHS in a manufacturing environment required. Industry certification preferred.
5+ years management experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of EHS regulations and requirements as well as ISO/OSHAS management systems required.
Knowledge of facility engineering principles, industry practices, regulations, and policies. Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to facilities, equipment and plant layout (e.g. OSHA, Unified Building and Electrical Codes, and environmental regulations).
Demonstrated experience leading change management efforts affecting safety and environmental practices required.
Competitive Compensation
Pay Range: $104400 to $174150 annually
