Trepp, Inc. has an opening for Senior Data Scientist in New York, NY. May work from home up to 2 days, as permitted.Lead end-to-end development of advanced machine learning and AI models to drive strategic business impact. Define project objectives, scope, and methodologies while aligning data science initiatives with business goals. Architect and implement scalable machine learning solutions for production systems. Identify new data-driven opportunities and develop innovative approaches to enhance decision-making. Provide thought leadership and stay ahead of advancements in AI, deep learning, and big data analytics. Oversee model performance monitoring and implement strategies for continuous improvement. Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership and key stakeholders. Drive best practices in data science methodologies, coding standards, and model reproducibility. Mentor and guide junior and mid-level data scientists, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment. Partner with engineering, product, and business teams to integrate AI-driven solutions into core products and services. Must possess at least a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Data Science or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience in any occupation in which experience with data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling is gained. In the alternative, at least Master's degree or its equivalent in Data Science or related field and at least 3 years of progressive experience in any occupation in which experience with data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling, would also be acceptable is gained. Must also possess the following: at least 3 years of work experience using libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch; at least 3 years of work experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS (Athena, SageMaker, S3) or Azure (ML Studio, Synapse); at least 3 years of work experience with supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms such as regression, classification, clustering, time series forecasting; at least 2 years of experience with designing, fine-tuning, and deploying GenAI models; at least 2 years of experience leading data science projects and mentoring junior team members; demonstrable knowledge or experience with Python; demonstrable knowledge or experience with machine learning; and demonstrable knowledge or experience with Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities, Commercial Real Estate, Commercial Lending, Collateralized Loan Obligation.
