Description

We are looking for a dedicated Administrative Assistant to join our team in Savannah, Georgia. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a vital role in managing operations, supervising staff, and supporting various tasks. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with strong organizational skills and a passion for contributing to a non-profit environment.

Responsibilities:

Oversee operations, including scheduling staff, interns, and volunteers 30 days in advance.

Train and onboard new associates, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.

Monitor staff productivity by setting goals, tracking metrics, and reporting updates to management.

Address staffing issues in collaboration with management and Human Resources, enforcing compliance with institutional policies.

Conduct facility and operational audits to ensure processes and procedures meet institutional needs.

Collaborate with management to maintain quality and productivity standards for reference services.

Requirements - Proven experience supervising staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Familiarity with cataloging standards and reference services in a library or archival setting.

Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence to work effectively in a demanding environment.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Proficiency in administrative tasks such as data entry, answering inbound calls, and receptionist duties.

Knowledge of collections management processes, including inventory and deaccessioning.
