Koniag Information Technology Services (KITS), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a senior-level A/V Control Systems Programmer with a Top Secret clearance to support our Army customer in Huntsville, Alabama. This on-site role will focus on providing expert-level programming, configuration, and integration services for audio-visual systems at Army Materiel Command (AMC) Headquarters. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience programming A/V control systems in high-visibility and mission-critical environments, particularly within DoD facilities. This position requires on-site presence in Huntsville, Alabama.

Position Description:
The A/V Control Systems Programmer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing sophisticated control system solutions for HQ AMC conference rooms and A/V systems. Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Design and develop custom A/V control system code based on HQ AMC requirements and specifications
Create intuitive, user-friendly control interfaces that align with customer needs and expectations
Consult with stakeholders to thoroughly understand operational requirements and user workflows
Program and configure Crestron (or equivalent) control systems to integrate newly installed equipment
Develop comprehensive programming solutions that address complex A/V control requirements
Test and validate all programming implementations to ensure functionality and reliability
Review system documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
Provide comprehensive user training on system operation and maintenance
Troubleshoot and resolve complex control system issues
Implement and configure VTC endpoints (Cisco) onto DoD networks
Configure A/V networks according to industry best practices and manufacturer recommendations
Document all programming work with detailed code comments and supporting documentation
Collaborate with installation teams to ensure proper implementation of programmed systems
Stay current with the latest control system platforms, features, and programming methodologies
Mentor junior staff as needed on control system programming techniques
Ensure all work meets quality standards, customer expectations, and security requirements
Education and Experience:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
10+ years of experience programming A/V control systems, particularly on high-visibility/mission-critical DoD projects
Extensive experience with Crestron programming or equivalent control systems
Demonstrated experience implementing VTC endpoints on DoD networks
Experience configuring A/V networks according to industry best practices
Required Skills and Competencies:
AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist Design (CTS-D) certification
Crestron Certified Silver Level (or equivalent) certification
Advanced certification for the implemented audio system (e.g., Biamp, Extron, ClearOne, Shure, Sennheiser, AMX, Crestron)
Expert-level knowledge of A/V control system programming languages and methodologies
Proficiency in creating intuitive user interfaces for touchpanels and control devices
Experience implementing and configuring Cisco VTC endpoints onto DoD networks
Advanced knowledge of A/V signal routing, distribution, and processing
Strong understanding of network protocols and configuration as they relate to A/V systems
Ability to read and interpret A/V system designs and schematics
Experience training users on complex A/V control systems
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Experience managing complex programming projects from start to finish
Knowledge of DoD security requirements for A/V systems
Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances
Willingness to work on-site in Huntsville, Alabama
Desired Skills and Competencies:
AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist Installation (CTS-I) certification
Crestron Certified Gold/Platinum Level programming certification
Experience working with classified systems or in SCIFs
Knowledge of federal government or DoD A/V standards and requirements
Experience with multiple control system platforms (AMX, Extron, etc.)
Background in software development or computer programming
Experience with DSP programming for audio systems
Knowledge of IP-based A/V systems and networks
Experience with large-scale command center or operations center programming
Familiarity with ADA compliance requirements for A/V control systems
Experience mentoring or supervising junior programmers
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles as they apply to A/V systems
Experience with video conferencing codec programming and integration
Understanding of digital signage control and content management systems
