SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Implementation / Account Manager to join our Third-Party Administrator (TPA) whose focus is health insurance. This role is responsible for overseeing the onboarding and implementation of new accounts and new business partners, as well as supporting the seamless integration of systems and processes. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary liaison between clients, internal departments, and external partners, driving successful outcomes through proactive communication, project management, and a deep understanding of health plan administration.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages the end-to-end implementation process for new clients and new business partners.
Develops and maintains detailed project plans and timelines to ensure timely delivery of services.
Serves as the main liaison between internal departments, business partners, and clients during the onboarding process.
Facilitates regular implementation meetings with clients and internal stakeholders.
Ensures client requirements are accurately translated into system and procedural specifications.
Reviews and understands plan documentation, contracts, and benefit designs.
Provides ongoing account management and support after implementation, including addressing inquiries, changes, and escalated issues.
Conducts periodic client reviews to assess satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
Coordinates and communicates updates related to regulatory changes, system enhancements, and service offerings.
Collaborates with internal teams (e.g., Compliance, IT, Claims, Customer Service) to ensure accurate and efficient service delivery.
Tracks and reports implementation and account management metrics to leadership.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance or direction to project team members or junior staff involved in implementation or client services.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a client-facing role within a Third-Party Administrator, insurance, benefits administration, or related healthcare field.
Experience with Accident and Health (A&H) plans or ERISA-regulated employee benefit plans strongly preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) or industry-related certifications (e.g., CEBS) a plus but not required.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Proficiency using software programs such as MS Word, ACCESS, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, Electronic Health Records.
Familiarity with benefit administration platforms, CRM tools, project management software, and database systems preferred.
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is performed in an office and onsite facility care environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system; enter alpha-numeric data into a computerized system often while listening on the telephone. May be subject to repetitive motion such as typing, data entry and vision to monitor. May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds.
