MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As an Asset Manager , the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission to lead our team supporting the US Central Command (USCENTCOM) J6 as part of the CITS contract. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of IT assets and configuration data using ServiceNow and the DoD Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS). The selected candidate will be involved in the full lifecycle of IT assets, ensure compliance with DoD policies, and optimize asset management processes to support mission-critical operations.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the primary point of contact for asset management activities, collaborating with USCENTCOM J6 stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and address operational needs.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the asset management team, ensuring alignment with US CENTCOM and DoD policies and mission objectives.
ServiceNow and ELMS Administration
Support the integration and maintenance of asset data within ELMS, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of US CENTCOM IT assets.
Identify and maintain workflows, forms, fields, views, reports, and dashboards in ServiceNow to support asset management.
Asset and Configuration Management
Support the implementation and maintenance of asset lifecycle management processes, from procurement to disposal, ensuring compliance with US CENTCOM and DoD regulations.
Ensure data accuracy and alignment with the authoritative database.
In coordination with stakeholders, support regular audits and reconciliations of asset and configuration data, ensuring data integrity and compliance with US CENTCOM and DoD standards.
Manage annual physical inventory of IT assets, ensuring accountability and accuracy.
Process Improvement and Reporting
Identifies opportunities to streamline asset and configuration management processes and increase efficiency, often using ITIL best practices and automation tools.
Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into asset utilization, lifecycle trends, and data hygiene.
Cross-functional collaboration:
Works closely with other teams, including procurement, service transition, and other J6 stakeholders to ensure smooth integration and policy adherence
Support the integration of asset tracking tools with ServiceNow and ELMS.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your supply chain and logistics expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Logistics Manager must have:
Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
Experience: 5+ years of related experience
Technical skills:
Experience supporting DoD contracts and familiarity with DoD asset management policies and procedures.
Proficiency in configuring, customizing, and administering ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, Asset Management, and CMDB.
Experience with ELMS for asset tracking and reporting.
Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal.
Expertise in developing and maintaining asset management policies, standards, and procedures.
Ability to conduct audits, reconciliations, and data hygiene assessments for CMDB and asset data.
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
Proficiency in documenting processes and explaining complex policies in simple terms.
Manual/electrical forklift operation certification/license
Security clearance level: TS/SCI
US citizenship required
Role requirements: Ability to lift up to 51 lbs
Preferred Skills:
Master's degree or 8+ years of experience in IT asset management.
Advanced certifications in ServiceNow and/or ITIL.

The likely salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
