We're seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to support our healthcare studio in our Irvine or Long Beach office. Employment Type: Full-time

Work Schedule: Hybrid - 3 days in-office, 2 days remote

Salary Range: $85,280-$100,000, based on experience

Career Level: Entry Level

Location: Irvine, CA or Long Beach, CA

General Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will independently prepare, plan, and execute small to medium-sized healthcare projects with general supervision. You'll apply standard design techniques, perform engineering calculations, and contribute to construction documentation and administration.

Design & Technical Leadership

Apply advanced engineering concepts to solve complex HVAC and medical gas design challenges

Perform detailed engineering and economic calculations and modeling

Troubleshoot operating systems and resolve technical disputes

Education & Certification

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering

EIT (Engineer in training) is a plus

Additional certifications are a plus

Experience Required

0-2 years of engineering design and/or project management experience

Comfortable presenting complex engineering concepts to clients and stakeholders

Working Knowledge

Microsoft Office Suite

AutoCAD

Revit

California Building Code is a plus

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure

Effective oral and written communication skills
