SUMMARY
Monitors accessory quality at all port facilities and retailers. Communicates all issues to Subaru Corporation (SBR), respective vendors, and the Parts Accessory Quality and Development team, and any other stakeholders as necessary. Works with Parts Accessory Quality and Development team as well as vendors to manage and coordinate effective countermeasures related to accessory quality and installation issues in order to ensure, maintain, and improve the overall quality of accessories.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages accessory quality by analyzing all available data --- warranty claims, Customer Advocacy Department reports, Field Quality Assurance reports, Advanced Quality Assurance (AQA) group reports, Parts Per Million (PPM) Defective summaries, Quality Monitoring Reports (QMR), and Technical Reports (TR).
Assigns and participates in installation audits, reviews audit documentation, determines failure root cause, creates action plans for countermeasures, and follows up on remedial actions.
Establishes and maintains open lines of communication with the appropriate individuals at accessory suppliers to inform, monitor, prevent, and correct quality concerns.
Communicates all accessory concerns to U.S.-sourced suppliers and Subaru Corporation (SBR) Quality Assurance. Works with SBR and Subaru of America (SOA) parts supply to develop the best plan to limit installation disruption and parts deletions at the ports.
Supports the development of installation processes and procedures with Accessory Quality and Development staff to address quality issues.
Manages accessory port quality assurance program including report generation, parts failure confirmation/collection, exception leveling at ports, parts compliance measuring equipment, and limit samples as needed.
Communicates through all levels of SOA details of accessory quality concerns that impact customer satisfaction, warranty, and potential safety implications.
Establishes accessory quality inspection and leveling criteria on appropriate accessories through collaboration with the Accessary Quality and Development, vendors, and AQA teams.
Maintains monthly communication with Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) regarding all TMNA-sourced accessories for joint vehicles. Monitors quality of those accessories, manages the reporting, and coordinates correction with TMNA.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Interacts with Accessory Development Engineers and AQA Training and Development Manager during new accessory development to ensure port environment acceptability and serviceability.
Provides support to AQA periodic conference calls, meeting agendas, and to other stakeholders for accessory issues associated with the multiple SOA remote port locations and Independent Distributor port locations.
Provides input for the Supplier Quality Rating Program. Creates criteria for vender PPM defective performance and their acknowledgment.
Manages IT projects related to Accessory Database and summaries in OBI (Oracle Business Intelligence). Supports IT with business needs on each project by providing @context and supporting working meetings.
Supports Subaru of Canada (SCI) as needed to assist them in containment of accessory issues, working with SOA Export team and the Quality Monitoring Teams.
REQUIRED SKILLS & PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Experienced with ISO/TS and Process audits.
Quality Assurance background, preferably in the automotive industry.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Mechanical aptitude with ability to use hand tools.
Statistical analysis skills.
Ability to utilize Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and digital photography.
Ability to analyze data from existing Subaru databases and draw conclusions.
Ability to travel as required.
EDCUATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree required
8-10 years of progressive experience
WORK ENVIORNMENT
Hybrid Role: Remote work 2 days per week (After 90 Days Onboarding)
Required Travel: 25-30%-may include weekends and occasional overseas travel.
COMPENSATION: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $92100 - $130000 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Additionally, this role is bonus-eligible, with a target bonus percentage that provides an opportunity to earn even more based on your performance. (Internal Job Grade: M1)
