In this important role, you will be responsible for providing clerical support and assistance to all departments in a fast-paced office environment. As a Clerk Typist 2, you will provide vital clerical support to various agency departments to ensure timely transmittal or processing of information and efficient organization of department data. Your professional courtesy to office callers and visitors will be essential as you perform receptionist and switchboard duties, receiving visitors and directing inquiries to appropriate staff. Work includes scanning records into electronic format for storage, filing and retrieving materials by sorting and storing documents, and data input into agency client system or statewide computer programs as well as tracking required screening tools using database. Your duties will require you to be proficient with the agency switchboard, personal computer, scanner, photocopier and fax.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerk Typist 1 and educational development to the level of eighth grade; or Completion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing course; or Any combination of equivalent experience and training.

Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Schuylkill County. If no eligible candidates who live within Schuylkill County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered. You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance. A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
