Summary The selected applicant will serve as an Electronics Technician at a Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) in Chelmsford, MA. They will be responsible for the processing and packaging of pharmaceutical prescriptions per year. Responsibilities Major duties include (but are not limited to): Provide comprehensive technical support for automated equipment systems (e.g., automatic packaging systems, tote conveyor systems, and drug dosing machines) assembled from numerous constituent units or subsystems including components such as controllers, sensors, bar code scanners, industrial controls and equipment, and pulse and counting mechanisms. Perform preventive maintenance, installation, evaluation of system performance, repair, calibration, modification, and programming/reprogramming for various manufacturers' and models of programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Troubleshoot equipment problems and takes corrective actions to restore devices to fully operational levels. Corrective actions may include identifying replacement parts, supplies, or tools required (and requesting those items if not on hand) or requesting service from outside sources. Evaluate corrective action alternatives for cost effectiveness, considering device repair history, device age and expected remaining lifetime, user needs, and parts availability.
