Purchasing Agent

Are you detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and ready to make a big impact in a fast-paced environment? In this crucial role, you'll be a go-to resource for maintaining vendor relationships, ensuring high-quality standards, and keeping our operations running smoothly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

-Review all proposed and received orders to ensure vendor compliance, and recommend vendor changes when necessary.

-Ensure that all purchase requests have been approved in accordance with authorized approval levels.

-Prepare and process purchase orders to comply with established purchasing procedures and maintain appropriate files.

-Ensure vendors adhere to all purchase terms and discounts.

-Work with vendors to ensure the quality of goods purchased meets the Company's standards.

-Coordinates and processes all Return-To-Vendor requests.

-Processes all claims for damaged goods received.

-Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

-Create request for quotes and analyze vendor bids

-Track and report all information required by NYS Gaming

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related area, or minimum of one year's related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of one year in company purchasing or related area. Must possess excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Must be extremely numbers-oriented and computer-literate.

The associate is regularly exposed to risk of radiation (from computers), as a great deal of the workday is spent working on spreadsheets or inputting data into the computer system.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
