Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Specialist to provide support to our team in our Palmdale, CA. location.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Maintain a strong business acumen and ability to operate in a fast-paced development environment that consists of leading-edge technology suppliers and non-traditional supply base.

Analyze lead times and identify critical path procurements.

Interface with the supply base to track orders and resolve issues.

Support Statement of Work (SOW) creation for subcontract activities

Develop, coordinate, and execute material forecasting and delivery schedule.

Analyzes purchase material supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools.

Plans inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements.

Assesses rough-cut capacity for current and short-term manufacturing requirements.

Creates/reduces supply requirements based on inventory adjustments.

Participates in long-term capacity and resource planning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phase-ins as well as existing product line phase-outs.

Interfaces with Source process area regarding inventory levels, working capital and other areas as needed.

Creates/releases requisitions. Receives/reviews requirements for non-standard parts

This position may be filled as a Level 1 or Level 2 based on the qualifications outlined below.

Basic Qualifications:

Supply Chain Planning Specialist (Level 1):

A bachelor's degree from an accredited university and supply chain and/or material planning in a manufacturing or aerospace environment; OR in lieu of degree 4 years of supply chain and/or material planning in a manufacturing or aerospace environment

Ability to obtain DoD security clearance at the Secret level

Ability to obtain special program access

Planning/Scheduling Experience

Production Control Experience

ERP/MRP experience

Supply Chain Planning Specialist (Level 2):

A bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 2 years of supply chain and/or material planning in a manufacturing or aerospace environment; OR in lieu of degree 6 years of supply chain and/or material planning in a manufacturing or aerospace environment; OR a master's degree and supply chain and/or material planning in a manufacturing or aerospace environment

Ability to obtain DoD security clearance at the Secret level

Ability to obtain special program access

Planning/Scheduling Experience

Production Control Experience

ERP/MRP experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Special Program Access

Material planning experience

Experience working in a manufacturing environment

Experience with SAP and MES

Active DoD Top Secret Clearance

Ability to be agile and work in a fast-paced engineering environment

Previous defense experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $61,200.00 - $91,800.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $110,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
