Schedule: Full Time

Shift : Day, M-F 6a-2:30pm

The role you'll contribute: This position is responsible for meeting the daily supply needs of the Operating Room (OR). This includes supply replenishment for any par locations in the OR, picking scheduled cases, and providing supplies for any emergent needs that may arise. This role serves as a representative of supply chain to clinicians within the OR; as such, this role must be attentive to providing excellent customer service to clinical staff and leadership while working collaboratively with other Supply Chain peers to support surgical operations. The Supply Chain OR Tech is responsible to ensure that supplies are organized and available for surgical procedures. This involves keeping supply areas clean, supplies organized and accessible, inventory levels maintained within the established par levels, supplies rotated to prevent expired product, and consignment clearly labeled and organized. The Supply Chain OR Tech utilize preference card lists to guide them as to which supplies are needed for a given physician's procedure. These preference cards outline the supplies and equipment needed as well as any special instructions associated with each item. The OR Tech utilize this card to prepare all of the case carts for upcoming procedures with the designated supplies and equipment. As the preference of a physician can change, it is important for the OR Tech to remain aware of practice changes involving supplies or equipment and to communicate these changes to the supply chain team. The Supply Chain Distribution Tech may also be responsible for assisting other supply chain team members with the receipt and put away of supply and in the general upkeep of the inventory storeroom.

The value you'll bring to the team:

Performs daily par cart inventories, picks orders, confirms orders, and delivers supplies to assigned par areas.

Performs case cart picking one day in advance of the scheduled case, ensuring supplies and equipment are separated according to preference card instructions.

Prioritizes routine work around emergent cases that may arise within the OR.

Establishes effective relationships with clinicians in assigned areas to ensure collaboration between clinical departments and supply chain.

Coordinates with the supply chain team to provide feedback on preference card updates and proactively identifies any stock-out risks.

Qualifications

The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed:

High School Grad or Equivalent Required

1 Work Experience Required

1 work experience Required

6 months in supply chain Preferred

6 months in customer service setting Preferred
