As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and managing badge systems to help control entry and exit throughout the facility. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, remain highly visible to help prevent unauthorized activity, and respond promptly to alarms or unusual situations. What You'll Do:
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the food and beverage location.
Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment for personnel and visitors.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter potential issues and observe for any unusual activity.
Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns according to Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement as needed to address security-related matters.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors at the location.
What We're Looking For:
Availability across various days and shifts
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
