Role Summary/Purpose:
The Venmo Marketing Leader will be responsible for innovating unique experiences within the Venmo App as well as driving profitable growth for the partnership. The successful leader will establish a strong and productive partnership with PayPal and Venmo to achieve the Venmo co-brand portfolio goals. The Marketing Leader will develop, execute, and manage the marketing plan from acquiring new accounts through lifecycle, while successfully gaining alignment with PayPal and Venmo.

Essential Responsibilities :
Launch the Venmo Co-brand product, serve as Marketing core team leader for the build
Provide overall marketing leadership for the Venmo co-brand portfolio
Build and maintain a strong, trusting, and productive partnership with PayPal and Venmo
Willingness to challenge the status quo and influence PayPal and Venmo to change direction when needed
Deliver creative and innovative solutions that fit with Venmo's brand, while achieving the program's growth goals
Ability to identify, prioritize, and gain alignment around marketing and product strategies
Work with Product Owners and UX designers across PayPal, Venmo and Synchrony on solution development and user testing and representing the customer experience
Actively participate in product requirements and product validations, and serve as the key connection between our internal and external product development teams and our customers/partners
Establish key relationships with the selected network (MC/Visa) and the internal SYF networks team to maximize partnership assets across the co-brand products
Effective internal partnership across functions at all levels of the organization
Ability to optimize marketing strategies around profitability goals, including understanding of how top-line drivers flow through the P&L
Monitor and accurately forecast growth drivers
Manage program spend within contractual obligations of the Venmo marketing fund
Maintain a strong understanding of competitor products and experiences and find opportunities to continue to enhance customer experience
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements :
Bachelor's degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma or GED and 11+ years of marketing within the financial credit card industry.
7+ years of digital marketing within the credit card or financial service industry to include:
People management experience.
Strong understanding of credit and payments.
Willingness to travel ~ 20%

The salary range for this position is 150,000.00 - 250,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
